The William Boyle Foundation was established to honour the memory of Bill Boyle. It was incorporated as a Charitable Trust in 1982 with a view to promoting excellence in piping and to create initiatives to support this outcome.

The Foundation's support initiatives have had a considerable impact on the careers of many of our A Grade and Under 21 pipers over many years.
The Foundation support 2 main initiatives annually. They are the WBF Under 21 Competition and the WBF Grants.
